HORMOANS began their stratospheric trajectory after the release of their first LP, “Millar” (2013) - a heavy and sporadic 13-song onslaught produced at BWC Studios (Moneen, Mare), that caught the attention of media outlets and enraged the general public.
The band headed back into the studio to record, “Slander” (2015); a tornado mix of punk and grunge with a surf mutation, which Exclaim! describes as “a lethal combination of energy and melody”.
After a brief hiatus, HORMOANS announced the upcoming E.P. entitled, "Crash Embryo", with release plans for the Fall, 2017.
Vocalist and guitarist, Steve, combines garage punk and surf grunge chord progressions while channeling melodic, guttural vocal arrangements. Matt on bass guitar delivers the aggressive low-end pulse that compliments the band's textured sound, while drummer, Cyrus, plays at a staggered, progressive pace that, when all mixed together, becomes reminiscent of the mid-90's alternative punk movement.
